Dear congregation,
We will be blessed with an opportunity to learn alongside another intern for ministry in the coming academic year. Jennifer Grimelli, who is beginning her last year of seminary at Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, DC, is a member at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Sykesville, and will join us beginning this Sunday. She is preparing for ordination as a priest in the Episcopal Church.
From Jennifer:
Chris, my husband, and I have two teenagers. Our oldest, Matthew, just graduated from Liberty HS and will be headed to St. Mary’s this fall. Sofia, our daughter, will be a sophomore at Liberty HS. Chris works as the president of a software company. We also have two of our nieces and a dog, Ozzy, a standard schnauzer, living with us. In the past few years, besides going to seminary, I have served as the Director of Christian Education at St. Barnabas, led multiple small groups, and played a role in a local interdenominational Bible Study. I am passionate about helping Christians understand the Scriptures and what it means to be a disciple today. While church and study play big roles in my life, it isn’t all that I do. I love to read a mix of fiction and nonfiction books, hike, travel, visit all types of museums, and spend time with my extended family. I appreciate the opportunity to learn and grow with you all.
Join me in welcoming Jennifer at our in-person and online services. I pray that her time among us will glorify God, shape her for the ministry to which God is calling her, and enrich our ministries as we learn with her.
In gratitude to God,
Dina
