Faith Formation for Adults
Adults gather on Sunday mornings after the 9:00 am service for Adult Forum. During the current transition time between rectors, the primary focus is on learning how to be a more faithful, healthy, and effective congregation. Adult forum is also used for parish gatherings to update the congregation on important issues, as a time to strengthen communication and transparency.
Daily Morning Devotions are held on Zoom at 8:30 am each morning.
A monthly Book Study Group meets at the Parish House the first Tuesday evening of the month. Notices in St. Andrew’s Enews announce upcoming book titles for study. Whether a sometime reader or a voracious one, all are welcome to come and discuss stories and ideas.
EFM (Education for Ministry)
- EFM is a nine-month curriculum for adults who want to learn about the Bible, Church History, Theology, and lay ministry.
- It is college level reading and discussion, and practical skill building around Christian identity and spiritual growth. It encourages the practice of theological reflection, how God is active in the world around us and how we are called to respond through our own ministry.

The College for Congregational Development
The College for Congregational Development (CCD) is a comprehensive training program that seeks to nurture and develop congregational development practitioners from within existing parish lay and clergy leadership. The program draws on congregational and organization development theory and practice, focusing on developing healthy and responsive leadership, facilitation skills, and teamwork through understanding of Anglican/Episcopal ethos, culture, spirituality, and ways of being the church today. It is a two-year program experienced as either a summer intensive week or several Saturdays through the academic year. St. Andrew’s has CCD graduates and its Vestry has been trained in many of the models of the program.
