CLERGY

The Rev. Dina van Klaveren, Priest-in-charge at St. Paul’s and Rector at St. Andrews
Dina has served St. Andrew’s since January 2009. She is active in the diocese and broader faith community, including her work as chair of the board of the Claggett Center, chair of the Episcopal Church Task Force on responding to the opioid epidemic, vice chair of The Episcopal Network for Stewardship, and a member of the advisory council of Interfaith Action for Human Rights. She is a Master Gardener intern, former recreational soccer coach, and native Californian. She previously served at St. Margaret’s in Annapolis, and St. James/Santiago in Oakland, California. Prior to seminary at Church Divinity School of the Pacific in Berkeley, California, Dina was the Associate Dean of Students at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore. Dina has been married to Dave Stimler, a hospital pharmacist, since 1998. They have two children: Everett (a junior at University) and Piper (a senior at High School), and several pets in their home. Her parents, Leilani and Carl Damon, also share their home.
Jennifer Grimelli, Associate for Ministry
Jennifer was ordained a priest on Saturday, October 3, 2022 at the Cathedral of the Incarnation in Baltimore. She has served at St. Andrew’s since September 2020, starting as a ministry intern while a seminarian. She graduated from Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, DC in May of 2021. Prior to seminary, Jennifer received her BS in Business Administration from The University of Maryland, Global Campus as a military spouse overseas. She has been serving in churches and ministries since 2008, primarily as a leader of Bible Studies. Her household includes her husband Chris, son Matthew (a senior in college), daughter Sofia (a freshman in college), and several pets. When not at work, you’ll find Jennifer exploring parks, reading a book on the porch, or beating her siblings in fantasy football.
The Rev. Amy Shimonkevitz, Deacon
Amy was ordained a deacon on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at the Cathedral of the Incarnation. She works at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center supporting the work of sun scientists.  The youngest of four children, she was raised in western PA near Pittsburgh where she was baptized and began formation in the Presbyterian church.  She served as a church organist since the age of fifteen until moving to Maryland after graduating from Duquesne University (B.S. in Secondary Education).  Amy has been a high school English teacher, corporate trainer, answering service operator, title insurance processor, and administrative support staff. She proclaims the Gospel at worship services and draws the congregation into serving the community, especially in ways that alleviate suffering and minister to those in need. She and her husband, Charles, live in Elkridge. Her hobbies include cooking, writing, fiber arts, noir films, contemplative prayer, and walking.
