What to Expect

Know that whoever you are, wherever you find yourself on your journey of faith, there is a place for you at St. Andrew’s.  We welcome those seeking to deepen their spirituality, people exploring various faith traditions, seasoned Episcopalians, and those returning to the Church.  If you are visiting us for the first time for worship, ushers are available to orient you to the building and assist you. Our worship bulletin will guide you through the service.  Children are invited to worship in the children’s area.  Ours is an intergenerational, inclusive community that gathers week by week to be uplifted and changed through our worship together. We pray that your time in worship draws you nearer to God and is a blessing to you, as your presence is a blessing to us.

Following our 9:00 am service, we gather for a time of fellowship—coffee and snacks—as we have conversation and get to know each other better.  Please join us.

What we believe

We believe that God loves everyone.  No exceptions.  As Episcopalians, we believe in and follow the teachings of Jesus Christ, whose life, death, and resurrection saved and re-creates the world.  We grow in our faith in community, connected to others.  The Episcopal Church embraces a legacy of inclusion, aspiring to tell and exemplify God’s love for every human being; people of all genders and sexual orientations serve as bishops, priests, and deacons in our church. Laypeople and clergy work together in leadership and governance. For more information about the Episcopal Church visit What We Believe and to find out about our Diocese, visit the The Episcopal Diocese of Maryland.
